As you already know, I preach what I use. I personally use the wordfence Plugin to secure this Blog. Interestingly, It’s very effective.
Even when this Blog was relatively new, I still face few attacks from suspicious site hijackers. Can you just imagine that?
Ever since then, I don’t joke with the security of my Blog.

Google Analytics: This tool gives you the full breakdown of your traffics, what contents are performing best etc.
It’s completely impossible to ignore these tools.

If you want to easily access your Google properties (Google search console, Google Analytics, Google Adsense, etc.), this Plugin is the right choice for you.
It’s has a simple set up: Install and activate the Plugin, then connect your google accounts.
Image Optimizer Plugins
To be honest, It’s unethical to write a detailed post without adding few visuals (images, videos, screenshots, etc.).
Unfortunately, there’s a downside to that.
Images could slow down your Blog, this is because they usually carry a large file size. A single high-resolution image should be between 200kb to 2mb (uncompressed).

For this reason, you must compress these images to reduce their file size. The good news here is: you don’t need to do this yourself. I use a very effective plugin.

This Plugin would do the job, it would compress your image immediately you upload them to WordPress. The only part you will contribute is to install the Plugin.

It’s a regular practice of spammers to spam your Blog with irrelevant comments. They mostly do that in the name of gaining comment backlinks.
Comment backlinks were beneficial years ago, but they do not pass much link juice again like before.
To secure your Blog from spam comments, you need the Akismet Plugin. This Plugin would filter and regulate your comments. It will detect if a comment is containing vague words.
Even though the Plugin is not free, the money is worth it.
